Gives up two goals against Napoli
Bijlow made two saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-0 defeat versus Napoli.
Analysis: Bijlow was beaten by two close-range finishes by unguarded opponents, Kevin De Bruyne and Antonio Vergara, in the final minutes of the game, while he had just one solid save beforehand. He blanked the opponents five times, surrendered 20 goals and made 45 saves in 16 starts since joining in January last season. Up next, Genoa will face Lazio away next Sunday.
Renews contract with Genoa
Bijlow has agreed to an extension until 2029, Genoa announced.
Analysis: Bijlow would have become a free agent without a new pact, as he came in with a short-term contract in January. He quickly took over between the sticks, surrendering 20 goals, making 45 saves and keeping five clean sheets in 16 appearances. He'll remain the starter next season.
