Involved in two goals in win
Alvarado scored one goal and assisted once from one shot and one chance created in Saturday's 5-2 win against Tijuana.
Analysis: Alvarado wasn't too busy in the first half, and it was later when he fired a first-time shot for the fourth home goal in the 59th minute and set up Diego Campillo in the 69th of Saturday's game. Those were the third goal and first assist of the league campaign for Alvarado, who is now tied with Ricardo Marin as the top offensive contributor on the squad. The only downside to the playmaker's recent performance was the fact that he recorded no crosses after ceding corner-kick tasks to Efrain Alvarez.
Delivers 23 crosses in loss
Alvarado generated 23 crosses (five accurate) and nine corners in Sunday's 3-2 defeat to England.
Analysis: Alvarado had an eventful showing as he benefited from a large number of set pieces, along with the fact that the opposition turned to a defensive shape after going down to 10 men in the second half. This game marked the end of a solid tournament for Alvarado, who assisted three of his team's 10 goals across all matches. He featured on the right wing in every game and served as the squad's main corner and free kick taker given that players such as Alexis Vega and Luis Chavez barely saw any time on the pitch.
