Olise assisted twice to go with three shots (zero on goal) and one corner in Saturday's 6-4 loss against England.
Analysis: Olise took part in his side's intense comeback attempt by creating the chances for both of Kylian Mbappe's goals in the 48th and 66th minutes, respectively, of Saturday's clash. It was the end of a solid World Cup for the winger, who stood out as a playmaker and set-piece taker. Most notably, his tally of seven assists set a new single-tournament record that still belonged to Pele before this edition. Olise will hope to remain an elite attacker next season whether he stays with Bayern Munich or moves to another of the top European teams.
Lacks crossing accuracy in win
Olise recorded five crosses (zero accurate) and five corners in Saturday's 1-0 win over Paraguay. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 97th minute.
Analysis: Olise didn't quite meet expectations against a highly defensive opposition, with none of his set-piece deliveries creating danger in the box. The winger was a bit more successful in terms of dribbling play, but it was not enough to make an impact in the scoring. Despite the performance setback, he's still at the top of the tournament's assists chart after setting up five goals during his previous four matches played. He'll try to make a bigger impact in a tough quarter-finals test against Morocco.
