Nets first career club hat trick
Olise scored three goals and assisted once from six shots and two chances created in Friday's 7-0 win against Union Berlin.
Analysis: Olise brought up the first club hat trick of his career in Bayern's demolition of Union Berlin and threw in an assist as well, which left him involved in four of the seven goals. He was a constant problem from wide with six shots, two chances created and five successful dribbles, and the visitors found no way of slowing him down. That leaves him with six goals and two assists from five games across the Bundesliga and Champions League to start the campaign, along with 17 chances created and 24 shots in that time.
Breaks World Cup assisting record
Olise assisted twice to go with three shots (zero on goal) and one corner in Saturday's 6-4 loss against England.
Analysis: Olise took part in his side's intense comeback attempt by creating the chances for both of Kylian Mbappe's goals in the 48th and 66th minutes, respectively, of Saturday's clash. It was the end of a solid World Cup for the winger, who stood out as a playmaker and set-piece taker. Most notably, his tally of seven assists set a new single-tournament record that still belonged to Pele before this edition. Olise will hope to remain an elite attacker next season whether he stays with Bayern Munich or moves to another of the top European teams.
