Plays 90 minutes despite booking
Nasrullayev logged four clearances, two inaccurate crosses, two tackles won and one clearance during Uzbekistan's 3-1 loss Saturday to DR Congo. He also received a yellow card.
Analysis: For both of Uzbekistan's other games, Nasrullayev logged 45 minutes before he was substituted. Unlike either, he played all of the Uzbeks' latest game and subsequently increased his statistical output. Nasrullayev had not recorded multiple clearances, crosses or tackles; and for tackles, the two are his first. For the World Cup overall, he logged five clearances, three inaccurate crosses and a shot on goal.
Subbed off at HT once again
Nasrullayev generated one shot (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Tuesday's 5-0 loss to Portugal.
Analysis: For the second game in a row, Nasrullayev was subbed off during the HT break, but at least he was one of the two Uzbek players who had a shot on target in this blowout loss. The lack of reliable playing time and his limited involvement going forward considerably limit his upside. That might not change much against DR Congo on Saturday, a game in which Uzbekistan are bound to look like underdogs once again.
