Undergoes operation
Carvalho (knee) has undergone his operation and will begin his recovery in the coming weeks, according to manager Keith Andrews.
Analysis: Carvalho was deemed to have been out for the rest of the season due to an ACL injury and has now received his operation, with the attacker completing the surgery Thursday. He will now begin his recovery in the coming weeks, with his mind focused on the 2026/27 season. He will hope his recovery goes to plan and works towards a better role next campaign, only scoring one goal while recording one start in six appearances before the injury this campaign.
Will miss rest of season
Carvalho will miss the rest of the 2025/26 season after sustaining an ACL injury, the club confirmed Thursday.
Analysis: Carvalho has been limited to 10 minutes off the bench across five Premier League outings after starting and going the full 90 in the opener against Nottingham Forest on Aug. 17. The skilled winger, who's had injury issues throughout his Brentford tenure, will miss the rest of the campaign and will aim to return at full strength for the 2026/27 season.
