Two assist off bench
Cherki assisted twice to go with three crosses (one accurate) and two corners in Sunday's 2-1 win against AFC Bournemouth.
Analysis: Cherki was the hero for City on Sunday and instantly made an impact after entering in the 63rd minute, recording three crosses and four chances created. He would then go on to save City from their 1-0 hole, assisting on Marc Guehi's 84th-minute goal before assisting on Josko Gvardiol's goal in stoppage time. This will likely force Enzo Maresca to think about starting the French attacker in the next match, an elite talent that only started in about half of his appearances under Pep Guardiola in the 2025/26 season, although he still earned four goals and 12 assists.
Two assists off bench
Cherki came on in the 63rd minute of Sunday's match against Bournemouth and finished with two assists.
Analysis: Cherki made an immediate impact off the bench, first delivering a corner that Marc Guehi converted before using his dribbling ability to create Josko Gvardiol's goal. The midfielder finished with three crosses (two corners), showcasing his creativity, vision and technical quality in the final third. His ability to create both from set pieces and open play gives him multiple avenues to contribute offensively, and the performance could strengthen his case for a starting role moving forward.
