Option for last game
Lunin (illness) returned to full training and is an option for Sunday's season finale against Athletic Club, the club posted.
Analysis: Lunin had missed consecutive fixtures against Real Oviedo and Sevilla due to the viral infection, but his swift return to collective sessions is a clean bill of health heading into the final fixture of Real Madrid's season. The Ukrainian goalkeeper will serve as backup behind Thibaut Courtois, who has regained the starting role between the posts, but his availability restores a full complement of goalkeeping options for the Merengues for the season curtain closer.
Still not training, doubtful Sunday
Lunin (illness) was not training Friday and remains a doubt for Sunday's clash against Sevilla, according to the club.
Analysis: Lunin had already been left out of Thursday's squad against Real Oviedo due to a viral infection, and his continued absence from the training pitch is a concern heading into the game against Sevilla. However, his unavailability has a limited impact given Thibaut Courtois' is fully back fit for the Merengues, but the club will assess Lunin's condition ahead of Sunday before making a final call on his involvement.
