Available after ankle injury
Bellerin is available for Friday's clash against Real Sociedad after recovering from an ankle injury, according to coach Manuel Pellegrini.
Analysis: Bellerin had missed several days of training after suffering the sprain in the friendly against Inter Milan, but his recovery has since progressed to the point where he's fully cleared for selection. His availability strengthens Betis's options at right back heading into Friday's season opener against Real Sociedad at La Cartuja, with Angel Ortiz having been the fallback option had Bellerin not recovered in time. Bellerin is expected to be in contention for a starting role now that he's back to full fitness.
Returns to training group
Bellerin rejoined Betis's training session Wednesday after missing several days with an ankle sprain suffered in the friendly against Inter Milan, according to Eldesmarque.
Analysis: Bellerin's return increases his chances of being available for Friday's season opener against Real Sociedad at La Cartuja. The session was led by coach Manuel Pellegrini, who had been absent Tuesday for personal reasons, with Bellerin's reappearance in the group standing out as the main development. Bellerin is expected to be further assessed in the coming days before a final decision is made on his involvement in the opener. Angel Ortiz remains an option at right back should Bellerin ultimately be unavailable.
