Dropped for second straight game
Herrera was left on the bench for the second game in a row as Aitor Fernandez kept the gloves for Saturday's meeting with Rayo Vallecano.
Analysis: Herrera has been a fixture in the Osasuna goal for years and had rarely lost his place while fit, which makes this turn of events a notable one. The first call could be explained away as rotation in a midweek round at Atletico Madrid, but Aitor Fernandez did enough there to keep the shirt against Rayo. coach Luis Miguel Ramis has the international break to weigh up his options before the trip to Real Betis, and Herrera may need a change of mind to get back in.
Concedes one against Getafe
Herrera had two saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 1-0 loss versus Getafe.
Analysis: Herrera would make a solid two saves Saturday but was unable to hold a clean sheet in the finale, allowing a goal in the 59th minute. This means the keeper ends the season in a rough patch, as he has not earned a clean sheet in eight games. He ends the campaign with seven clean sheets, 47 goals allowed and 113 saves in 37 appearances while also avoiding relegation.
