Credited with assist in win
Hakimi assisted once to go with three crosses (zero accurate) and one corner in Saturday's 3-0 win versus Canada. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 40th minute.
Analysis: Hakiim set up the opening goal in a set-piece situation, as his clever touch allowed Azzedine Ounahi to find the back of the net after a free kick. While he wasn't the usual attacking influence he is, Hakimi remains one of the best two-way full-backs in the game, although his role in the quarterfinals will depend on the opponent Morocco face.
Misses penalty but still productive
Hakimi recorded three shots (one on goal), nine crosses (two accurate) and seven corners in Monday's 1-1 (4-3) penalty shootout win over Netherlands.
Analysis: Hakimi missed his penalty in the penalty shootout, but Morocco were able to progress as they faced the Netherlands. The wing-back was involved throughout the game with the best chance he produced coming in added time of the first half. His cross was perfect to set up a goal but the bounce went over Ismael Saibari's thigh. Of his three shots in the game, he hit the target once but his best chance hit the crossbar. In total, he created three chances and attempted nine crosses. He will now captain the side against Canada in the round of 16.
