Scores penalty in brief outing
Neymar scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal), three crosses (zero accurate) and two corners in Sunday's 2-1 loss against Norway. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 96th minute.
Analysis: Neymar was used as a last resort in the final stages of the match and converted a penalty kick in stoppage time, but it wasn't enough for Brazil to advance to the quarterfinals in a disappointing World Cup. The experienced attacker battled a calf injury early in the competition and was barely able to regain fitness, recording 37 minutes on the pitch across two substitute appearances. Considering his age and recent physical concerns, this could have been the last World Cup of his career, and he'll now look to regain form in domestic action.
Sends in four crosses in debut
Neymar recorded one shot (one on goal), four crosses (one accurate) and three corners in Wednesday's 3-0 win over Scotland.
Analysis: Neymar subbed on in the second half and played 14 minutes in his World Cup debut for Brazil. The star led his side with four crosses despite his limited time in the field. He will likely be used as substitute again in Round of 32 against Japan, since his last appearance was on May 15.
