Fit to start against Getafe
Garcia (knee) participated in team training again Thursday and is fully fit to start Saturday's La Liga clash against Getafe, according to Alex Pintanel of Esports RAC1.
Analysis: Garcia appears to have fully recovered from the right knee discomfort that forced him off at halftime against Racing Santander and subsequently kept him sidelined against Sevilla ahead of the break. The goalkeeper returned to group training Wednesday and completed another session Thursday, putting him in position to reclaim his starting role against Getafe. Garcia remains coach Hansi Flick's first-choice option between the posts, though the coach could still decide to manage his workload ahead of Tuesday's UCL clash against Galatasaray, with Dominik Livakovic available as an alternative if needed.
Won't play vs. Sevilla
Garcia (knee) won't play against Sevilla on Saturday, according to El Diario De Sevilla.
Analysis: Garcia ended the 7-2 win over Racing Santander on Wednesday with mild discomfort in his right knee, and the team won't risk him with the international break right around the corner. Wojciech Szczesny is expected to take his place in the XI this weekend.
