Kownacki has returned to Werder Bremen after spending the 2025/26 season on loan at Hertha Berlin.

Analysis: The 29-year-old striker had a decent, yet unspectacular, season with Hertha on loan -- he tallied six goals and added two assists across 24 appearances across all competitions. It remains to be seen if he'll play a role for Bremen in 2026/27, but at best, he could be used as depth piece upfront.
