Ankle issue forces halftime exit

Robertson did not return for the second half of Wednesday's 3-0 defeat against Brazil due to an ankle knock, the player commented after the game, according to Phil Haigh of Metro. "Personally, time will tell. I need to take a day or two to see what has happened and I'll do that. But as a collective, we didn't want to be in this position and if you ask me right now, I don't think it's enough. But time will tell."

Analysis: Robertson showed no obvious signs of injury during the first half before the unexpected withdrawal, leaving his status uncertain heading into Scotland's tense wait to see if they qualify as one of the best third-placed teams. The captain's situation will be assessed over the coming days, with Scotland's World Cup future now hanging in the balance regardless of his fitness.

Two crosses vs Morocco

Robertson had two crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Friday's 1-0 loss to Morocco. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 65th minute.

Analysis: After a strong opening match versus Haiti, Robertson was more quiet in Friday's loss to Morocco. Though he finished the match with two crosses and one chance created on the attack, there wasn't a specific moment where he was particularly close to recording an assist. Barring an early blunder that led to the lone goal, the Scottish defense played fairly well and Robertson did his part with one clearance and one interception. He was also booked for pulling down Achraf Hakimi in the 65th minute, his first yellow of the tournament. The Scottish captain will need to be at his absolute best on both ends of the pitch Wednesday versus Brazil, a match his side needs to get something out of to guarantee a spot in the knockouts.
