Last seen on TV screens as a World Cup pundit, Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez's surprise next step involves moving to start-up USL Championship club Atletico Dallas.
Now 38, the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Mexico star insists the venture is not a short-term project, but one that will eventually see him transition to a role away from the pitch.
“It’s a new chapter in my career, in my life,” Hernandez told @MelanieAnzidei. “It’s not that I’m going to be here just for one year and then ‘goodbye.’”
