Provides assist in victory
Boscagli assisted once to go with one cross (zero accurate) and three chances created in Sunday's 5-0 win against Crystal Palace.
Analysis: Boscagli recovered the ball around halfway and passed to Diego Gomez, whose long-range strike opened the scoring in the seventh minute of the rivalry match. It was the first assist of the season for the defender, who had previously notched a goal in Conference League play. He has benefited from operating in a wide role, creating 11 chances and delivering 24 crosses (six accurate) across seven league starts. On the defensive end, he's averaging 3.6 clearances and 1.3 interceptions per contest.
Provides solid defensive display
Boscagli recorded three crosses (zero accurate) and one tackle in Sunday's 4-0 win versus Aston Villa.
Analysis: Boscagli registered three crosses and two interceptions in Sunday's 4-0 win over Aston Villa. The center-back combined defensive solidity with involvement going forward, helping limit the opposition's attacking threat. Boscagli's composure in possession and ability to progress the ball from the back make him a valuable part of the defensive unit and should keep him in contention for a regular starting role.
Credited with assist in loss
Boscagli assisted once to go with two crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-1 loss versus Fulham.
Analysis: Boscagli was credited with the assist in Yasin Ayari's goal, but the defender simply took part in a one-two sequence, as Ayari deserves all the credit for the goal due to his thunderous strike. Boscagli isn't known for being heavily involved on offense, though, and he should earn most of his fantasy upside due to his defensive stats going forward.
Debuts in cup
Boscagli got the start and played 90 minutes during Tuesday's Carabao Cup clash with Barsnley.
Analysis: Boscagli has struggled for minutes since joining Brighton, with no appearances in the Premier League yet. The defender did well during the start in the cup and showed why he could be a consistent piece moving forward. With Brighton competing in multiple competitions, there's more chance for Boscagli to feature.
