Leader in shots, chances created
McBurnie took two shots (both on goal) and created two chances during Saturday's 2-0 win over Manchester United.
Analysis: McBurnie was held off the scoresheet, but not from a lack of effort as he led Hull in shots and chances created during the upset win. The forward will be expected to lead the line for Hull this season following an 18 goal campaign across 40 appearances in the Championship last year.
Expected to lead frontline
McBurnie was the driving force behind Hull City's promotion campaign, finishing as the club's top scorer with 18 Championship goals from 40 appearances, proving himself one of the most prolific strikers in the second tier this season.
Analysis: McBurnie's combination of aerial ability, physical presence and clinical finishing made him the focal point of coach Sergej Jakirovic's attack throughout the campaign, and his goal tally speaks for itself as one of the standout individual performances in the division. His seven assists further underline his contribution as a creator as well as a scorer, and Hull City will be counting on him to replicate that form in the Premier League. The step up to the top flight will be a significant test for McBurnie, but his experience at that level from previous stints gives him the foundation to compete and contribute meaningfully in a harder division.
