Absent from opener squad
McAidoo (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's clash against Bournemouth.
Analysis: McAidoo has been unable to earn a place in the squad despite manager Enzo Maresca's pre-match comments suggesting the shoulder issue had been resolved ahead of the Premier League opener. The academy prospect is expected to train with the first team throughout the season, though his fantasy appeal remains limited given the minimal first-team minutes he is projected to accumulate in the Premier League at this stage of his development.
Expected to be available
McAidoo (shoulder) is expected to be available for the EPL opener against Bournemouth on Sunday, according to manager Enzo Maresca. "At the moment, the only one [unavailable] is [Jeremy] Doku. Then Matheus [Nunes] is back. The rest are all okay."
Analysis: McAidoo is one of the top young prospects in Manchester City's academy, and the midfielder is expected to train with the first team throughout the season. That said, he shouldn't have much fantasy appeal, since he's a youngster who won't see many first-team minutes in the Premier League.
