Officially joins Chelsea

Quenda is officially joining Chelsea this summer from Sporting and is already training during the pre-season under new coach Xabi Alonso, according to The Chelsea Chronicle.

Analysis: Quenda scored nine goals and provided 17 assists in 86 senior appearances for Sporting, having made his professional debut for the club in August 2024, and has signed a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge last summer. He is expected to compete with Estevao, Pedro Neto, Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho for a starting spot in Chelsea's attack next season, giving new manager Xabi Alonso a deep and talented group of wide options to choose from. The Portugal U21 international projects as a long term investment for the club, and his adaptation to the Premier League will be one of the more closely watched storylines of the upcoming season.
