Won't face Trier
Romulo (knee) is out for Saturday's DFB Pokal match against Eintracht Trier, according to his club.
Analysis: Romulo is heading towards the sidelines as competitive play kicksoff for Leipzig, as the forward is still dealing with a tendon issue in his knee. It will now be a race against time for him to be fit for their season opener on Aug. 29 against Gladbach. He was their starter last season, with nine goals and four assists in 30 appearances, leaving Tidiam Gomis to start at forward for the opener if Romulo misses out.
Strikes against Union
Romulo scored a goal while taking two shots (both on goal) during Friday's 3-1 win over Union Berlin.
Analysis: Romulo found the back of the net in the 25th minute scoring Leipzig's second goal. The goal was the first since April 4th for the forward as he's combined for 10 shots and three chances created over his last three appearances.
