Back available against Malaga
Hernandez (groin) trained normally and is expected to be available for Monday's match against Malaga, according to coach Antonio Hidalgo. "Hernandez trained normally and we think he'll be available tomorrow."
Analysis: Hernandez's recovery had previously been handled with extra caution given how early it was in the season. His clearance for full training now marks the clearest sign yet that he's turned the corner. It puts him in position to be included in Deportivo's squad for the visit of Malaga.
Brillant attacking option for Depor
Hernandez ended the season as Deportivo La Coruna's most important attacking weapon, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists across 38 Segunda Division appearances in 3,002 minutes.
Analysis: Hernandez combines a clinical finishing touch with elite vision, averaging 1.8 key passes per 90 minutes while also carrying the ball progressively to consistently put defenders under pressure. Hernandez heads into the new season as Deportivo's most important player to face La Liga oppositions, and his performances will be central to any hopes the club have of remaining in the top flight.
