Analysis: Brown was efficient on ground duels and defensive stats, but his performance was spoiled by an error that led to a goal and a missed shot. After scoring and assisting in the opening game versus Curacao, the left-back got more involved in defensive and crossing duties during Saturday's clash. In any case, he should remain a strong two-way option, with his side still looking to dominate in the next few rounds.

Analysis: Brown was excellent in his World Cup debut as he stepped onto the world stage with Germany. He would have two key moments: first, assisting on Nico Schlotterbeck's goal in the 38th minute, before scoring a goal of his own in the 68th minute. It is clear the young defender has no fears heading into the World Cup, and with a starting spot at left-back now likely to stick over David Raum, he has new value. Not to mention, Brown took four of the teams corners.
