Quiet versus Morocco
Adams generated one tackle (one won) and one clearance in Friday's 1-0 defeat versus Morocco.
Analysis: Adams started up top once again Friday, yet he struggled to make much of an impact versus the stout Morocco defense. He didn't manage a single shot in the match and his one major contribution on the attack was a created chance. His lack of involvement wasn't entirely his fault as the team struggled to get the ball to him on the attack, though it was still a disappointing performance from the striker. He was subbed off in the 71st minute for Lyndon Dykes. Adams will likely start the final group stage match Wednesday versus Brazil and he will hope to be more involved in the crucial match for the Tartan Army.
Key involvement in only goal
Adams registered one shot (one on goal) in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Haiti.
Analysis: Adams was crucial to the scoring of the only goal as Scotland won their World Cup opener against Haiti 1-0. He took a brilliant touch as a long ball was played over the top. After playing the ball out to Ben Gannon Doak, the ball was crossed back into the middle. The keeper came to stop the cross at Adams' feet, and his shot was parried out to John McGinn, who would score the only goal of the match. This was the only shot of the game for Adams.
