Busy in possession, poor duels
Bardakci recorded one shot (zero on goal), six crosses (two accurate) and two chances created in Friday's 1-0 loss against Paraguay.
Analysis: Bardakci pushed forward for much of the game, particularly after Miguel Almiron's red card gave Turkey the extra man. He completed 98 passes, 54 in the opposition half, created two chances, delivered six crosses and even attempted a shot from outside the box. Defensively however it was a difficult night in duels as he lost five of ten, though two tackles and seven clearances still showed he contributed at the back. Up next is the final game against the United States, and with Turkey eliminated, it remains to be seen whether coach Vincenzo Montella will give opportunities to players who haven't had much playing time, or aim to finish in the best way possible, with Caglar Soyuncu or Ozan Kabak as possible replacements.
Heading chance missed
Bardakci generated one shot (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Australia.
Analysis: Bardakci came inches away from pulling Turkiye level in the first half, rising to meet Hakan Calhanoglu's corner in the 30th minute and hammering a header right at goalkeeper Patrick Beach in what stood as Turkiye's best chance to make it 1-1. He also came up with a key block to deny an Australian effort after the break, though he looked shaky under Australia's high press and was dispossessed multiple times in his own half. That missed header loomed large in the end as Turkiye failed to capitalize on their opportunities, putting too few of their 30 shots on target in a costly attacking display.
