Still limited to substitute role
Iglesias has yet to make his first start of the season after a muscle injury sidelined him early in the campaign and limited his minutes following his return.
Analysis: Borja Iglesias has finished as Celta Vigo's top scorer in each of the last two La Liga campaigns, netting 11 and 14 goals respectively, but he has been restricted to substitute duty since recovering from a left soleus tear. The training injury initially ruled him out for three matches before a setback in his recovery sidelined him for an additional fixture. Manager Claudio Giraldez has managed his return cautiously following a disrupted pre-season, building up his workload. The lack of a Spain call-up should allow Iglesias to utilize the international break for a crucial training block, enabling him to reach full match fitness and reclaim his starting spot.
Out two weeks with injury
Iglesias will miss around two weeks with a left soleus muscle tear, Celta announced Tuesday.
Analysis: Iglesias did not feature at all in the league opener and will now miss the upcoming commitments after suffering a left soleus myofascial rupture.
